Saudi and UK Defense Ministers Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, hosted the UK’s Defense Minister, John Healey, and his delegation in Riyadh to discuss ways to bolster strategic partnership and cooperation in military and defense sectors.


According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Khalid welcomed the British minister upon his arrival. During the meeting, both sides reviewed various aspects of enhancing collaboration in defense and military fields. They also discussed addressing regional challenges through joint efforts and maintaining regional and international peace and stability.


The meeting was attended by key officials, including Saudi Ambassador to the UK, Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan, Deputy Defense Minister Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Assistant Minister of Defense Engineer Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defense for Administrative Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, the Minister of Defense's Office Director Hisham bin Abdulaziz, and Saudi Military Attaché to London, Brigadier General Riyadh bin Mohammed.


The discussions underscored the shared vision of Saudi Arabia and the UK to ensure security and stability in the region.
